NEW ORLEANS — Two strangers shared an umbrella and a somber embrace Sunday as they scanned 163 names on a marble wall honoring those who died in Louisiana's coastal St. Bernard Parish when Hurricane Katrina wracked the region.
Gladys Nunez and Linda Wells didn't know each other before a service at the site — but both knew too many of the names etched onto the memorial, friends and neighbors who perished in the storm's chaos five years ago. Nunez wrapped her arm around Wells, who was visiting the site for the first time.
"I had to come see for myself and try to put this behind me," said Wells, 50, of Chalmette.
Nunez, 68, of Toca, said: "It's something we'll live with for the rest of our life. It never goes away. Katrina showed no mercy."
Memorials were planned across the Gulf Coast from New Orleans' Lower 9th Ward to Biloxi, Miss., to mourn the hundreds who died when Katrina hit on Aug. 29, 2005. For many, though, it also was a time to reflect on how far the region has come since then, everything that's been restored.
More than 100 people braved Sunday's soggy weather for the memorial service in Shell Beach, where parish officials read aloud all 163 names on the memorial. After a moment of silence, Diane Phillips, 51, of Hopedale, volunteered to lay a wreath in the bayou. Some wiped away tears as the wreath floated away. Phillips had two cousins and several close friends who died in the storm.
"I didn't think of one person when we did the wreath," she said. "You think of the whole entire parish and everything that we lost that day and everything that we've brought back since then."
Indeed, for many on the Gulf Coast — still reeling from the massive BP oil spill — the mood is still one of mourning. In New Orleans, the bells will toll at St. Louis Cathedral in honor of the dead.
Other ceremonies were to focus on rebuilding and moving on. A "healing ceremony" and march were planned in the Lower 9th Ward — where only about a quarter of the 5,400 homes that stood in the area before the storm have been rebuilt. Many still bear a constant reminder of Katrina, spray-painted circles indicating they had been searched and whether bodies were inside.
"I'm tired of the anniversaries," Barbara Washington, 77, said Saturday at a symbolic funeral and burial for the storm in Chalmette, La. She lost her home in New Orleans and is now living in a suburb. "I miss my home every day. I feel lost. But I also know we are getting back. We're survivors."
In the afternoon, President Barack Obama will speak at Xavier University — which, like 80 percent of New Orleans, was flooded when the levees failed. He will recall those who died and reassure those who have returned that he is committed to rebuilding.
Other events were planned throughout the region, including a reunion of those who evacuated to the Superdome and memorials in coastal St. Tammany and Plaquemines parishes.
At the symbolic burial Saturday in Chalmette, mourners filled a steel-gray casket with notes, cards and letters.
One, written by a child in red crayon, said: "Go away from us."

Sfantul Ioan Botezatorul s-a nascut in cetatea Orini, in familia preotului Zaharia. Elisabeta, mama sa, era descendenta a semintiei lui Aaron. Nasterea prorocului Ioan s-a petrecut cu sase luni inaintea nasterii lui Iisus. Nasterea sa a fost vestita de catre ingerul Gavriil lui Zaharia, in timp ce acesta slujea la templu. Pentru ca nu va da crezare celor vestite de ingerul Gavriil, Zaharia va ramane mut pana la punerea numelui fiului sau.
Exista o lunga perioada din viata Sfantului Ioan Botezatorul despre care nu avem informatii. Cunoastem ca s-a retras in pustiu, unde a dus o viata de aspre nevointe, pana in momentul in care a primit porunca sa inceapa sa predice. Rolul lui Ioan nu a fost numai acela de a pregati poporul pentru venirea lui Hristos, ci si acela de a-L descoperi lumii ca Mesia si Fiul lui Dumnezeu.

Din Evanghelie cunoastem ca Irod, la un ospat prilejuit de sarbatorirea zilei de nastere, a taiat capul Sfantului Ioan Botezatorul, la cererea Irodiadei. In acea vreme, Sfantul Ioan era intemnitat in castelul lui Irod de la Maherus. Ioan il mustrase pe Irod pentru traiul lui nelegiuit cu Irodiada, care era sotia fratelui sau. In ura ei de moarte, Irodiada a sfatuit-o pe Salomeea, fiica ei, care dansase si placuse oaspetilor si indeosebi lui Irod, sa ceara de la acesta capul Botezatorului ca rasplata.

Din Evanghelia dupa Marcu, aflam ca Sfantul Ioan Botezatorul era imbracat in haina din par de camila, incins cu o curea de piele si ca se hranea cu lacuste si miere salbatica.
Camila poate simboliza atat curatia, cat si necuratia. Daca in Vechiul Testament ea putea fi privita ca un animal curat pentru ca era rumegator, ea putea fi vazuta si ca necurata, daca tinem seama ca avea copita despicata. Daca ramanem la prima semnificatie, cea de animal curat, camila simbolizeaza poporul ales, in timp ce necuratia prefigura neamurile pagane.
Faptul ca Ioan purta o haina din par de camila, simbolizeaza chemarea evreilor si a paganilor la Hristos.
Cureaua, provenita de la un animal mort, semnifica prin incingerea cu ea, omorarea patimilor.
Cat priveste hrana sa, trebuie sa stim ca albinele si lacustele erau considerate a fi curate in Vechiul Testament, semn ca Ioan se hranea doar cu cele placute Domnului.

In ziua de 29 august, cand praznuim Taierea capului Sfantului Ioan Botezatorul, exista credinta in popor ca nu trebuie sa se foloseasca cutitul, totul se rupea cu mana. In popor se vorbea si de inceperea unui post, numit "de la cruce pana la cruce", un post care tinea pana pe 14 septembrie (Inaltarea Sfintei Cruci), neconsemnat in calendarul crestin, care avea rolul de a-i curati pe cei care au savarsit omoruri sau alte pacate grave.
Tot in popor era intalnita si interdictia de a taia si manca fructe si legume cu forma rotunda, de exemplu pepenele nu era consumat in aceasta zi.

Cotidianul ZIUA de Constanţa continuă prezentarea unora dintre enigmele vechiului Tomis. Încă o parte din istoria veche a Constanţei a pierit sub nemiloasa Mare Neagră. Odată cu prăbuşirea malurilor Mării Negre au dispărut străzi întregi, clădiri, şi chiar o mare parte din Galeriile Subterane prin intermediul cărora se realiza alimentarea Tomisului cu apă.
„În urma săpăturilor, am mai găsit o stradă care continua un kilometru înspre mare, în zona Băncii Naţionale a României din Piaţa Ovidiu. Însă crivăţul care bate în Constanţa majoritatea anului a dus la prăbuşirea malurilor, astfel că o mare parte din apeducte au dispărut în mare", a mai adăugat arheologul Gheorghe Papuc. Conform datelor oferite de istorici şi arheologi, Galeria Subterană de la Tomis are un traseu aproape circular, ramificat, cu mai multe bretele secundare încă neidentificate, care urmăreşte în subsolul oraşului întreaga incintă a cetăţii romane. Galeria porneşte de pe platforma inferioară a Edificiului Roman cu Mozaic. Pragul galeriei transversale se află la 0,62 metri. Infiltrarea apei se făcea direct din stratul de calcar, nestăvilit şi permanent, în tunelul galeriei păstrându-se un nivel de umplere constant de 60-70 centimetri, cu regim menţinut prin gurile de golire spre Portul Turistic Tomis. Galeria a servit şi drept reţea de distribuţie a apei în diferite puncte de pe traseu, fapt dovedit cu ajutorul puţurilor, unul fiind în faţa Edificiului Roman cu Mozaic, altul se află pe strada Marc Aureliu, la marginea trotuarului scărilor spre portul Tomis, iar ultimul dintre puţurile care se mai văd astăzi situându-se pe strada Mării, în faţa intrării palatului Şuţu. În anul 1914, galeria era circulabilă pe 50 de metri spre nord-est, pornind de la terasamentele liniilor ferate din port. Se pare că lucrările pentru săparea acestor galerii au durat 10 ani, terminându-se în anul 150, fiind urmat traseul plajei, care s-a prăbuşit între timp. Vasile Canarache, fostul director al Muzeului de Arheologie şi Istorie Constanţa, al cărui nume îl poartă şi strada din spatele muzeului, pe unde trecea odată calea ferată, a dorit, în anii 1970-1971, să restaureze galeria pentru a o reda spre vizitare publicului. Cu toate acestea, reţeaua subterană de alimentare cu apă a rămas doar o amintire a arheologilor şi a istoricilor.

Pentru cine se întreba cum de a reuşit consilierul judeţean Iancu Stavrositu, soţul deputatei PDL Maria Stavrositu, să ajungă în 2002, la doar 30 de ani în fruntea Interfinbrok Corporation SA, una din cele mai importante firme româneşti de intermedieri financiare, există câteva răspunsuri de-a dreptul halucinante. Tânărul Stavrositu a intrat brusc în familia extrem de selectă a Interfinbrok, pe 18.12.2002, când a fost numit preşedintele Consiliului de Administraţie şi director general, în locul lui Bogdan Ioan Tomoşoiu. Treptat, soţului deputatei Maria Stavrositu i se cesionează aproape toate acţiunile Interfinbrok, astfel încât numele cu adevărat grele, care au la baza acestei companii, dispar în anonimat. De pe 07.02.2007, Iancu Stavrositu ajunge să deţină 97,7625% din acţiunile societăţii, iar el şi soţia sa cunosc o ascensiune fulminantă pe plan politic. Pe de-o parte, numele Cuşu- familia din care provine deputata PDL- pe de altă parte, deţinătorii din umbră ai Interfinbrok şi greutatea afacerilor pe care aceştia le derulează, au constituit un suport extrem de puternic pentru saltul cuplului Iancu- Maria în primele nivele decizionale ale politicii româneşti. Este, de altfel, o evoluţie logică: economicul finanţează şi susţine politicul, pentru ca decizia politică să favorizeze, ulterior, economicul. Interesant este că nu Iancu Stavrositu a fost primul sosit în clubul select al dinozaurilor finanţelor româneşti, pe care îi vom prezenta imediat. Până la avansarea soţului deputatei în fruntea Interfinbrok, acţionarul majoritar al companiei era Iancu Cuşu, fratele parlamentarei noastre. Cuşu deţinea în 2002, ultimul an în care Monitorul Oficial face o referire exactă la acţionariatul complet al SC Interfinbrok Corporation SA, pachetul majoritar de 78,96250%. Fratele Mariei Stavrositu era şi este asociat în Interfinbrok cu personaje blestemate de miile de români păgubiţi de două bănci înfiinţate şi vandalizate în perioada sălbatică şi întunecată a capitalismului românesc. Este vorba despre Banca Română de Scont (BRS) şi Banca Internaţională a Religiilor (BIR), două falimente răsunătoare pentru care nu a fost găsit, nimeni, niciodată vinovat. Absolut toate persoanele din conducerea BIR şi o parte din cea a BRS sunt acţionare la Interfinbrok Corporation, alături de alte nume extrem de cunoscute, dar şi de Iancu Cuşu şi Iancu Stavrositu, adică fratele, respectiv soţul deputatei Maria Stavrositu.
Familia Stavrositu face afaceri cu foşti consilieri şi apropiaţi ai lui Ion Iliescu
Îi regăsim aici pe Ion Popescu, fostul colonel DIE devenit preşedinte al BIR, scos, evident, de sub urmărire penală în 2008, pe motiv că nu a existat nici o devalizare, cu 0,45% din acţiunile Interfinbrok Corporation; Nicolae Cinteză, nimeni altul decât şeful Direcţiei de Supraveghere din Banca Naţională a României, cu 0,1125%; Vasile Secăreş, cu 0,225% din Interfinbrok, a fost consilier prezidenţial al lui Ion Iliescu, în perioada 1990- 1992, fost rector al Şcolii Naţionale de Studii Politice şi Administrative (SNPSA), pe care a părăsit-o în 2004 după ce a fost acuzat că a devalizat-o cu 10 miliarde de lei vechi, ofiţer de Securitate, potrivit lui Mircea Răceanu şi membru fondator al FSN, dar şi vicepreşedinte al Eximbank, până în 1997; Lucian Burghelea, cu 0,025% din compania familiei Stavrositu, este fostul şef al Biroului de Plasamente la Societatea de Asigurări Astra, arestat în 2002 pentru complicitate la delapidare în uriaşul scandal al falimentului Băncii Române de Scont; Constantin Grigore Săraru, mult mai cunoscut sub numele de Dinu Săraru, fostul lider comunist, apropiat al lui Ion Iliescu, foarte activ în perioada imediat de după decembrie 1989, care are şi el 0,225% din Interfinbrok; Valentin Eugen Daeanu, fostul consilier al preşedintelui BIR, cu 0,3% din acţiuni; Caius Filimon, cu 0,45%, de asemenea, anchetat în dosarul falimentului BIR, scos ulterior de sub urmărire penală; camerunezul Joseph Noupadja, celebru şi el în urma devalizării societăţii de asigurări Metropol, prin care a prejudiciat mii de români cu peste 5.000.000 de dolari, dar şi pentru afacerile ciudate pe care le derulează în Zona Liberă Constanţa; Centrul Naţional Ecumenic, cu 0,75% din acţiunile Interfinbrok, este entitatea care a fondat Banca Internaţională a Religiilor, înfiinţată de Ion Popescu, capul afacerii BIR şi condusă de Dinu Săraru, vărul celui dintâi; Provitas SA, cu 12% din Interfinbrok, societate de asigurări acţionară la BIR, a fost desfiinţată în 2006, din conducerea ei făcând parte acelaşi Ion Popescu, dar şi Vasile Gică (de asemenea, acţionar la Interfinbrok-ul familiei Stavrositu), Raul Alexandru Doicescu (alt nume foarte interesant, asociat cu Adriean Videanu, dar şi cu Sida Ionescu) şi Elisabeth Roze Marie Neagu.
Două bănci falimentate, mii de păgubiţi, nici un vinovat
Toate personajele implicate în falimentele BRS şi BIR au fost cercetate şi chiar arestate; procesul dosarului BIR continuă, de altfel, şi în zilele noastre. Treptat, cei despre care anchetatorii spuneau că au devalizat zeci de milioane de dolari, falimentând astfel, cu bună ştiinţă, cele două bănci, au fost declaraţi nevinovaţi. Şi ţinând cont de experienţa, renumele şi sumele uriaşe de bani care au trecut, într-un fel sau altul, prin mâinile acestor veritabili dizonauri ai finanţelor româneşti, revenim la ipoteza de la început şi deducem că Iancu Cuşu şi Iancu Stavrositu par a fi mult prea tineri pentru calibrul celor amintiţi mai sus. Că este folosită familia deputatei Stavrositu drept paravan de un grup de interese specializate în tranzacţii bancare mai mult sau mai puţin ortodoxe sau sunt pur şi simplu asociaţi „pe bune”, rămâne de văzut. Cert este că până a ajunge să dea lecţii de moralitate politică, familia deputatei Stavrositu ar fi putut să-şi amintească de propriile asocieri cu figurile întunecate din trecutul iliescian al României.

Îi regăsim aici pe Ion Popescu, fostul colonel DIE devenit preşedinte al BIR, scos, evident, de sub urmărire penală în 2008, pe motiv că nu a existat nici o devalizare, cu 0,45% din acţiunile Interfinbrok Corporation; Nicolae Cinteză, nimeni altul decât şeful Direcţiei de Supraveghere din Banca Naţională a României, cu 0,1125%; Vasile Secăreş, cu 0,225% din Interfinbrok, a fost consilier prezidenţial al lui Ion Iliescu, în perioada 1990- 1992, fost rector al Şcolii Naţionale de Studii Politice şi Administrative (SNPSA), pe care a părăsit-o în 2004 după ce a fost acuzat că a devalizat-o cu 10 miliarde de lei vechi, ofiţer de Securitate, potrivit lui Mircea Răceanu şi membru fondator al FSN, dar şi vicepreşedinte al Eximbank, până în 1997; Lucian Burghelea, cu 0,025% din compania familiei Stavrositu, este fostul şef al Biroului de Plasamente la Societatea de Asigurări Astra, arestat în 2002 pentru complicitate la delapidare în uriaşul scandal al falimentului Băncii Române de Scont; Constantin Grigore Săraru, mult mai cunoscut sub numele de Dinu Săraru, fostul lider comunist, apropiat al lui Ion Iliescu, foarte activ în perioada imediat de după decembrie 1989, care are şi el 0,225% din Interfinbrok; Valentin Eugen Daeanu, fostul consilier al preşedintelui BIR, cu 0,3% din acţiuni; Caius Filimon, cu 0,45%, de asemenea, anchetat în dosarul falimentului BIR, scos ulterior de sub urmărire penală; camerunezul Joseph Noupadja, celebru şi el în urma devalizării societăţii de asigurări Metropol, prin care a prejudiciat mii de români cu peste 5.000.000 de dolari, dar şi pentru afacerile ciudate pe care le derulează în Zona Liberă Constanţa; Centrul Naţional Ecumenic, cu 0,75% din acţiunile Interfinbrok, este entitatea care a fondat Banca Internaţională a Religiilor, înfiinţată de Ion Popescu, capul afacerii BIR şi condusă de Dinu Săraru, vărul celui dintâi; Provitas SA, cu 12% din Interfinbrok, societate de asigurări acţionară la BIR, a fost desfiinţată în 2006, din conducerea ei făcând parte acelaşi Ion Popescu, dar şi Vasile Gică (de asemenea, acţionar la Interfinbrok-ul familiei Stavrositu), Raul Alexandru Doicescu (alt nume foarte interesant, asociat cu Adriean Videanu, dar şi cu Sida Ionescu) şi Elisabeth Roze Marie Neagu.
Două bănci falimentate, mii de păgubiţi, nici un vinovat
Toate personajele implicate în falimentele BRS şi BIR au fost cercetate şi chiar arestate; procesul dosarului BIR continuă, de altfel, şi în zilele noastre. Treptat, cei despre care anchetatorii spuneau că au devalizat zeci de milioane de dolari, falimentând astfel, cu bună ştiinţă, cele două bănci, au fost declaraţi nevinovaţi. Şi ţinând cont de experienţa, renumele şi sumele uriaşe de bani care au trecut, într-un fel sau altul, prin mâinile acestor veritabili dizonauri ai finanţelor româneşti, revenim la ipoteza de la început şi deducem că Iancu Cuşu şi Iancu Stavrositu par a fi mult prea tineri pentru calibrul celor amintiţi mai sus. Că este folosită familia deputatei Stavrositu drept paravan de un grup de interese specializate în tranzacţii bancare mai mult sau mai puţin ortodoxe sau sunt pur şi simplu asociaţi „pe bune”, rămâne de văzut. Cert este că până a ajunge să dea lecţii de moralitate politică, familia deputatei Stavrositu ar fi putut să-şi amintească de propriile asocieri cu figurile întunecate din trecutul iliescian al României.

Monopol pe remorcare
Aşa cum era normal, în Constanţa majoritatea banilor se învârt în jurul portului, principala activitate fiind concentrată acolo, indiferent de natura ei. Fie că este vorba despre manipularea mărfii care intră, de reparaţiile vapoarelor sau de descărcarea acestora, orice se întâmplă în Portul Constanţa aduce bani. Aşa probabil s-au gândit şi reprezentanţii familiei Stavrositu în momentul în care au pus mâna pe Compania de Remorcare Maritimă Coremar SA.
Atât Iancu Adrian, soţul deputatei, cât şi Stilă, socrul acesteia, apar ca administratori ai firmei care deţine monopolul remorcării în port. Ei nu apar ca şi acţionari, dar Stilă Stavrositu îşi pune semnătura pe aproape toate actele interne, dat fiind faptul că la cei 72 de ani ai săi este şi director economic al companiei.
„Coremar SA este una din cele mai mari companii de remorcaj din portul Constanta şi are cca. 350 angajaţi, o flotă de 12 remorchere şi o reputaţie cucerită de-a lungul timpului pentru siguranţa şi calitatea serviciilor", se prezintă firma controlată de familia Stavrositu.
Cu active de 5.9 milioane de euro şi o cifră de afaceri de 7.3 milioane de euro în 2008, firma controlată a realizat în 2008 un profit de 1.7 milioane de euro, cu aproape o jumătate de milion de euro mai mult decât în 2007.
Jocuri bursiere cu firma „casei"
Apariţia familiei Stavrositu în interiorul unei firme aşa de mari a adus de la sine şi unele schimbări. Cea mai „naturală" a fost legată de faptul că firma Interfinbrok Corporation a început să se implice activ în vânzarea şi cumpărarea acţiunilor de la Coremar.
Interfinbrok este manageriată de Iancu Adrian Stavrositu care, în numele acestei firme, a fost ales şi vicepreşedinte al Asociaţiei Brokerilor din România.
Nu ştim exact câte tranzacţii realizează firma lui Iancu Stavrositu cu acţiuni ale firmei Coremar la care acelaşi personaj este administrator, dar această relaţie este cel puţin „bolnăvicioasă", putând fi interpretată ca nelegală.
Firma Interfinbrok Corporation a fost preluată de un grup de machidoni de la Banca Internaţională a Religiilor în momentul în care instituţia financiar-bancară a dat faliment. De atunci, firma a crescut şi a ajuns să fie controlată de Stavrositu împreună cu Bogdan Tomoşoiu, fostul şef al Trezoreriei de la BIR.
Tranzacţie suspectă
La data de 16.04.2008, firma Interfinbrok Corporation anunţa Bursa de Valori Bucureşti că unul dintre administratorii Coremar SA, Ştefănescu Gheorghe, cumpăra un număr de 1.000 de acţiuni Coremar SA la preţul de 0.8750 RON/acţiune. Anunţul era necesar deoarece în temeiul legii clientul era o „persoană iniţiată", dat fiind funcţia pe care o ocupa.
Nu ştim exact dacă în perioada respectivă s-au mai efectuat prin intermediul Interfinbrok şi alte tranzacţii ale persoanelor iniţiate sau dacă aceeaşi firmă a considerat cumva că persoane iniţiate sunt şi rudele administratorilor şi acţionarilor. Nu ştim nici dacă deputata Stavrositu sau soacra ei, Ecaterina, au derulat în acea perioadă tranzacţii. Aflarea acestor informaţii ţine de organele de anchetă.
Cert este însă că două zile mai târziu, Adunarea Generală Extraordinară a Coremar a decis să majoreze capitalul social al companiei cu o cotă din profit. Majorarea era cu peste 700.000 de euro, iar manevra crea posibilitatea de a acorda o nouă acţiune pentru fiecare acţiune deja deţinută.
Art. 3 din Hotărârea nr. 1/2008 a AGEA Coremar arată că „Fiecare acţionar al societăţii va deţine un număr dublu de acţiuni faţă de cele pe care le deţinea până la AGEA".
Putem să presupunem faptul că atât Iancu şi Stilă, cât şi clientul lor au avut cunoştinţă de faptul că acţiunile deţinute urmează să se dubleze şi au acţionat pe cale de consecinţă, cumpărând.
Antecedente periculoase
Un alt client al firmei de brokeraj a familiei Stavrositu, despre care vom discuta într-un episod viitor, a vândut la data de 17.06.2010 acţiuni ale Coremar SA prin intermediul Interfinbrok Corporation. Acesta era, de asemenea, persoană iniţiată, în temeiul legii.
Ciudat este că, exact a doua zi, preţul acţiunilor a scăzut cu 12.73%, iar la două zile de la vânzare a mai scăzut cu alte 12.20 de procente. Nu ştim ce a influenţat preţul, dar este cert faptul că „persoana iniţiată" a reuşit să-şi vândă acţiunile sale la un preţ mai bun decât alţi acţionari.
Acest tip de fapte cu rezonanţe penale nu a fost îndeajuns cercetat de procurori din cauză că faptele sunt foarte greu de probat. Cu toate acestea, anchetatorii s-au pus la punct cu modurile de operare ale „gulerelor albe", ultimul caz în acest sens fiind cel instrumentat de DIICOT în urma căruia preşedintele Băncii Transilvania a ajuns să fie trimis în judecată.

Deputata PDL Maria Stavrositu a trecut afacerile pe numele soacrei, iar soacra a scăpat repede de datorii „vînzîndu-le" unor oameni de bine. Parlamentara a promis băncii banii pe care-i are de primit de la firma soţului. Clanul Stavrositu se reorganizează pentru a face faţă crizei. Familia care vrea să monopolizeze litoralul a scăpat dintr-un foc de peste 6 miliarde de lei vechi pe care ar fi trebuit să-i vireze la stat. Asta nu e singura problemă. Deputata şi soţul ei, consilierul judeţean Iancu, au jonglat cu alţi bani existenţi doar pe hîrtie pentru a putea să contracteze un împrumut la banca Transilvania.
Familia Stavrositu reprezintă interesele unui grup de aromîni cu pretenţii de la Constanţa. Femeia este nepoata lui Dumitru Cuşu, patron de restaurante şi hoteluri pe litoral. Acesta are un trecut romanţat cu dosare penale pierdute, acuzaţii de fraude sau afaceri oneroase cu statul. Proprietar de imobile ca orice baronaş local, Cuşu găzduieşte în casele sale chiar Tribunalul şi Judecătoria din oraş, instanţe care ar trebui să judece dosarele sale.
Iancu este un tînăr a cărui familie dezvoltă la rîndul ei afaceri mari, iar mariajul cu Maria nu a făcut decît ca aceste afaceri să capete o conotaţie politică. El împreună cu rudele controlează mai multe firme importante. Acestea l-au propulsat în funcţia de vicepreşedinte al Asociaţiei Brokerilor din partea Interbrok Corporation, firmă pe care o gestionează împreună cu Bogdan Tomoşoiu, şeful departamentului Trezorerie de la defuncta Bancă Internaţională a Religiilor.
Caracatiţa Stavrositu
Compania a fost fondată chiar de banca mai sus-amintită, apoi predată unui grup de machidoni din Constanţa în frunte cu cel care este cumnatul lui Iancu, fratele viitoarei sale soţii.
Tatăl lui Iancu, Stilă, este directorul Coremar SA, firma care deţine monopolul activităţilor de pilotaj şi remorcare din Portul Constanţa, fiind şi membru în Colegiul de Conducere al Camerei de Comerţ, Industrie, Navigaţie şi Agricultură din Constanţa.
„Capcană arăbească" pentru Banca Transilvania
În anul 2005, Maria şi Iancu Stavrositu s-au prezentat la ghişeele Băncii Transilvania şi au contractat un împrumut. Dacă ar fi să ne luăm după declaraţia de avere depusă la Camera Deputaţilor de Maria, împrumutul nu este mare.
Cu toate acestea, ei nu puteau justifica veniturile pe care ar fi trebuit să le aibă legal pentru a primi banii. În aceste condiţii, ei au prezentat băncii o hârtie din care reieşea că au de primit de la firma World Shipping Agency suma de un miliard de lei vechi pe an.
Firma World Shipping Agency era deţinută chiar de Iancu, în coproprietate cu misteriosul Saadedine Samer. Ulterior, arabul a ieşit din societate, iar soţul deputatei Stavrositu a schimbat numele firmei în Iana Business Consulting.
Numai în anul 2006, firma a avut un profit mai mare de un miliard de lei vechi, iar anul trecut a înregistrat chiar pierdere, nici măcar cifra de afaceri nepermiţându-i firmei să achite presupusa datorie pentru soţii Stavrositu.
Interesant este faptul că actul prin care cei doi soţi arătau că au de primit banii de la firma lor era datat pe 03.03.2005, iar contractul de împrumut nr. 590 a fost semnat pe data de 04.04.2005.
Metoda folosită de Maria şi Iancu Stavrositu a mai fost utilizată cu succes şi de fostul asociat al soţului, arabul primind în 2007 un împrumut de la aceeaşi bancă în baza unei sume pe care se presupunea că o are de primit de la o firmă a sa.
Nu ştim cine a patentat metoda, Saadedine sau Stavrositu, dar este cert faptul că ea este undeva la limita legalităţii, mai ales că în 8 aprilie 2010, când datele de la Ministerul Finanţelor Publice indicau clar că firma nu putea să plătească o sumă aşa de mare, creditul a fost extins de bancă pentru încă cinci ani în baza aceloraşi acte.
Soacra - mare scapă turma
În ultima perioadă s-a constatat lansarea în afaceri a Ecaterinei Stavrositu, mama lui Iancu şi, implicit, soacra Mariei. Femeia este acţionară în firmele Ianina Business Consulting (fosta World Shipping Agency) şi Quadro Industries (preluată de la noră în februarie 2009).
În urmă cu câteva luni preluase şi compania Lexx Expert Imobiliare, care avusese în 2007, primul an de activitate, venituri de 119 miliarde de lei vechi şi în 2008 venituri de 16 miliarde de lei vechi. Nu ştim ce afaceri s-au desfăşurat acolo, ancheta fiind de competenţa procurorilor de la DIICOT.
Cu toate acestea putem să ne întrebăm care au fost motivele pentru care, în iunie 2010, atât Ecaterina Stavrositu, cât şi Bogdan Tomoşoiu (asociatul fiului ei) şi-au cesionat acţiunile şi au renunţat la o companie care generase venituri de aproape 3 milioane de euro în urmă cu nici 3 ani. Explicaţia ar putea fi dată de datoria de aproape 7 miliarde de lei vechi care exista la stat în martie 2010. Jumătate din sumă era reprezentată de TVA-ul pe care soacra deputatei a „uitat" să-l plătească în ultima perioadă.
De altfel, Administraţia Finanţelor Publice Sector 3 ceruse încă din martie 2009 insolvenţa firmei, dar familia Stavrositu a avut tupeul să ceară statului să timbreze cererea, iar procesul a stagnat. În acest timp, firma a fost făcută pierdută, iar acum datoriile nu vor mai fi recuperate. Sursa: Curentul.ro

Terrorism, hatred and murder are daily occurrances all over the world. Persecution and hatred of Christians is increasing daily and it will only get worse.
People have allowed themselves to become addicted to everything! Drugs, alcoholism, sex, pornography, food, money, technology, beauty and power!
Over 52 million babies have been aborted since it became legal! That is over 100,000 babies sucked out of the mothers womb every month! And the women who are doing this use abortion as birth control, some having up to 10 or more abortions! And this is fully accepted and sanctioned by our society! This would have been considered child sacrifice in ancient times. So what it amounts to in modern times is child sacrifice to the idol of self.
The list just goes on and on and on. Our moral decline is well documented.
Take heed of the scripture in Revelation 18: 4 "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." Come out of the confusion of Babylon and do not partake of the evil that has taken over the world.

Salvation and eternal life can only be achieved by being 'born again'. Basically 'born again' is a spiritual term that means your spirit is changed or converted by Jesus. It also means you agree with God about your sin and understand that because of your sin you cannot enter into Heaven. Sin is dirty and unholy and Heaven is a spotless place without even a spec of dust. Lucifer (Satan) was cast out of Heaven because "iniquity was found in him". (Ezekiel 28:15).
Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sin through His sacrifice on the cross. Believing is not enough. You must seek to know Him in a personal way in order to receive a true conversion. True conversion happens by confessing each of your sins to God and then repenting -turning away from and changing your mind about your old sinful life. You must also proudly and publicly acknowledge Jesus is your Savior and bear witness for Jesus.
Call out to Jesus and He will show you that He is a living God that does exist in the spiritual realm. The Lord Jesus will make His existence very apparent to you if you truly want Him in your life. Why do you think there are so many that will risk their life for Jesus in countries where Christians are tortured and killed daily? Make no mistake about this, God does exist and so does Satan.
Satan is using everything possible to deceive you and gain access to your heart and mind. Including technology, the media, television and music. He creates confusion and doubt, sends false prophets, false revivals, counterfeit wonders and healing and demons disguised as beings of light. He bombards the airwaves with occult and new age religion, false Christian doctrine, watered down Christianity and prosperity preachers. He seduces with alcohol, illicit drugs and prescription drugs (especially the ones that affect the brain like anti-depressants and anti-anxiety drugs). I believe that knowledge of how this enemy is working to deceive you is VERY important to know.
It is also VERY important to be filled with the Holy Spirit of God through heart-felt prayer to counter act the deception and hone your discernment if you are a believer.
If you are not a believer then why would you ever expect that our world is going to change for the better at this point in time when it is so obviously getting worse? Just whom or what do you think is going to change it for the better? Lucifer's global New World Order?
Man has been repeating the same mistakes for century after century. Do you really think that man will change for the better and reverse the damage he has done and create a utopian society? It's not going to happen! Not without intervention from God. Why is it so hard to believe that there might be another reality happening in another dimension that we can't see? You can't see micro-waves or radio waves either but they exist.
Everywhere I look I see MASSIVE deception about Jesus and Christianlty. Many people are being deceived about what is required if we are to escape spiritual death. It can ONLY come through the shed blood of Jesus and through true REPENTANCE! Christ is VERY clear about this, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6 KJV)
For example look what Oprah Winfrey is doing now, promoting New Age Religion. The Bible is very clear about this also, "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." (Colossians 2:8 KJV).
God sent us His word, the Bible, to instruct us how He wants us to live and what we are NOT to do. In addition He warns us about what is coming through the huge amount of prophecy contained there-in. As time goes on more and more is coming to light and is being revealed. We are meant to know these things so we won't be deceived and we can prepare spiritually.
"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, [even] to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." (Daniel 12:4 KJV) "And they that understand among the people shall instruct many:" (Daniel 11:33 KJV)
The ultimate message is to let you know there is good news for you! God is the Creator and HE LOVES YOU! "The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower" (Psalm 18:2 KJV).
God came to earth in the flesh as Jesus Christ to pay the ultimate price for your sin. Our Lord God is Omni-potent and therefore more powerful than any thing that exists! Ultimately Gods enemy is the loser in this battle of good verses evil. It is already decided! And the enemy knows he has already lost and that his time is short. This is why Satan's goal is to take as many with him as he can. So the question is "whose side are you on?" If Jesus is not in you then guess who is!
Pray to Jesus from your heart and ask Him to show you the truth! Why would you want to live a lie if you had the chance to know the truth and be part of God's kingdom? Choose the right side NOW!

Terrorism, hatred and murder are daily occurrances all over the world. Persecution and hatred of Christians is increasing daily and it will only get worse.
People have allowed themselves to become addicted to everything! Drugs, alcoholism, sex, pornography, food, money, technology, beauty and power!
Over 52 million babies have been aborted since it became legal! That is over 100,000 babies sucked out of the mothers womb every month! And the women who are doing this use abortion as birth control, some having up to 10 or more abortions! And this is fully accepted and sanctioned by our society! This would have been considered child sacrifice in ancient times. So what it amounts to in modern times is child sacrifice to the idol of self.

Take heed of the scripture in Revelation 18: 4 "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." Salvation and eternal life can only be achieved by being 'born again'. Basically 'born again' is a spiritual term that means your spirit is changed or converted by Jesus. It also means you agree with God about your sin and understand that because of your sin you cannot enter into Heaven. Sin is dirty and unholy and Heaven is a spotless place without even a spec of dust. Lucifer (Satan) was cast out of Heaven because "iniquity was found in him". (Ezekiel 28:15).
Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sin through His sacrifice on the cross. Believing is not enough. You must seek to know Him in a personal way in order to receive a true conversion. True conversion happens by confessing each of your sins to God and then repenting -turning away from and changing your mind about your old sinful life. You must also proudly and publicly acknowledge Jesus is your Savior and bear witness for Jesus.
Call out to Jesus and He will show you that He is a living God that does exist in the spiritual realm. The Lord Jesus will make His existence very apparent to you if you truly want Him in your life. Why do you think there are so many that will risk their life for Jesus in countries where Christians are tortured and killed daily? Make no mistake about this, God does exist and so does Satan.
Satan is using everything possible to deceive you and gain access to your heart and mind. Including technology, the media, television and music. He creates confusion and doubt, sends false prophets, false revivals, counterfeit wonders and healing and demons disguised as beings of light. He bombards the airwaves with occult and new age religion, false Christian doctrine, watered down Christianity and prosperity preachers. He seduces with alcohol, illicit drugs and prescription drugs (especially the ones that affect the brain like anti-depressants and anti-anxiety drugs). I believe that knowledge of how this enemy is working to deceive you is VERY important to know.
It is also VERY important to be filled with the Holy Spirit of God through heart-felt prayer to counter act the deception and hone your discernment if you are a believer.
If you are not a believer then why would you ever expect that our world is going to change for the better at this point in time when it is so obviously getting worse? Just whom or what do you think is going to change it for the better? Lucifer's global New World Order?
Man has been repeating the same mistakes for century after century. Do you really think that man will change for the better and reverse the damage he has done and create a utopian society? For example look what Oprah Winfrey is doing now, promoting New Age Religion. The Bible is very clear about this also, "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." (Colossians 2:8 KJV).
God sent us His word, the Bible, to instruct us how He wants us to live and what we are NOT to do. In addition He warns us about what is coming through the huge amount of prophecy contained there-in. As time goes on more and more is coming to light and is being revealed. We are meant to know these things so we won't be deceived and we can prepare spiritually.

This topic is represented on the Internet from every viewpoint imaginable. Including those who attempt to say Jesus Christ is a myth or a lie. (Ie: Zeitgeist- The Movie and David Icke). You won't see or hear about this in the mainstream media and the pastor at your church is not speaking about it either.
The Bible prophecies warn us about this in the books of Daniel and Revelation. As a result of the time we live in and the unlocking of the mysteries surrounding the interpretation of the scriptures which were sealed, (Daniel 12:4) we are now able to identify the meaning of the Bible scriptures. They tell us Satan will set up a one world government with the Antichrist as the figurehead. Most but not all of the world will come under his control. Revelation chapter 13:2 is describing this.

If you are a Christian then you need to know that we are not to fear this "New World Order" and all the evil that goes with it. Who we are to fear is the Lord God almighty, our creator.
Fear God! Isaiah 8: 12-15
12 "Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear,
and do not dread it.

Revelation 18: (KJV)
3- For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
8- Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
9- And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10- Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
11- And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more....
Jeremiah 23:
19-Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.
20-The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
Jeremiah 51:
8- Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed.
9- We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.
10- The LORD hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.
11- Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the LORD hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.
12- Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon.
13- O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness.
14- The LORD of hosts hath sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with caterpillers; and they shall lift up a shout against thee.
15- He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding.
Why would God allow the destruction of America by her enemies and natural disasters?
Romans I: 18-32
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
